Robert Kuśmirowski
CONTEMPORARY ARTIST
A visual artist, set designer, filmmaker and sound engineer. He studied Sculpture at the Maria-Curie-Skłodowska-University of Lublin and at the Université de Haute Bretagne in Rennes.
His solo exhibitions were featured at the Neuer Kunstverein in Vienna, Arsenal Gallery in Bialystok, Johnen Gallery in Berlin, Galleria Civica in Trento, Barbican Art Gallery in London, Guido Costa Projects in Turin, DATAmatic 880 – Galerie Magazin in Berlin, Migros Museum of Contemporary Art in Zurich, Johnen & Schöttle in Cologne, Art Association in Hamburg, Stedelijk Van Abbemuseum in Eindhoven, Johnen Gallery in Berlin, repetitively Centre for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw, and others. Robert’s art inspires me a lot. It was great having him run workshops for Zapaleni.org that resulted in the stage design of The Midsummer Night’s Dream a few years ago, and currently we are developing a new collaborative project, King Kong – The Reenactment Concept.
