Keil and Reske are co-creators of the Performing Arts Institute (Instytut Sztuk Performatywnych or InSzPer) which takes care of the art-institution ecology. They have developed a model of collective working which focuses on exchanging constructive, supportive and creative feedback. InSzPer is also a response to the institutional crisis resulting from mounting contradictions between new directions of artistic practices and the present-day art-production system, as it provides inspiring and safe working conditions open to an exchange of ideas, practices and experiences. Finally, the institute is involved in large-scale international cooperation, providing a space for dialogue between Polish and foreign artists and opening the way for non-obvious alliances.
Among their diverse activities, Marta Keil and Grzegorz Reske have served as Artistic Directors of the International Theatre Festival Confrontations in Lublin which has hosted three of my productions: The Midsummer Night’s Dream, Vulva and LubLove.
